Auditions for the 2011 FestivalAuditions for acting positions are held in June at ACT Theatre in Seattle. If general auditions are held, the notice will be posted on the TPS (Theatre Puget Sound) website. ICTF uses the services of ACT’s casting department. Leavenworth Auditions: May 22
2011 general auditions will be held on Sunday, May 22 in “the Barn” at Barn Beach Reserve located at 347 Division Street in Leavenworth, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The 2011 plays have not yet been chosen, and no breakdown of roles is available at this time. Auditions are by appointment, and actors interested in auditioning should call Interim Executive Director Anna Miller at (509) 548-2278 or e-mail anna@iciclearts.org to schedule an audition slot. Auditioning actors should be available for all Festival dates. Auditioners should prepare two contrasting modern monologues, and may be asked to read sides. Local actors should be able to provide their own transportation to and from Icicle Creek Theatre Festival as well as their own housing during production dates. Transportation and lodging costs for the Seattle readings will be covered by Icicle Creek Theatre Festival. All positions are paid and include room and board. Seattle Auditions: May 25 Additional auditions will be held on Wednesday, May 25 at “Busters” at ACT Theatre, 700 Union St., Seattle, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. The 2011 plays have not yet been chosen, and no breakdown of roles is available at this time. No appointments are required and actors will be seen on a first-come, first-seen basis. Equity actors, however, will be given priority. All actors must bring picture and resume and prepare a 1 to 2-minute contemporary monologue. Transportation and lodging costs for the Seattle readings will be covered by Icicle Creek Theatre Festival. All positions are paid and include room and board. Festival rehearsals and presentations will be at Icicle Creek Music Center in Leavenworth and actors live in cabins at the Center for nine days. Complete availability is required from Aug. 13 to Aug. 21, 2011. Rehearsals are held in the afternoons and evenings. Performance weekend in Leavenworth is Aug. 20-21, 2011. Additional presentations take place at Seattle’s ACT Theatre, August 22-24. ICTF uses mainly actors who are members of Actors Equity Association, but there may be some non-union acting positions available. All acting positions are paid. ICTF operates on a special Periodic Performance agreement with Actors Equity. OTHER POSITIONS ICTF accepts resumes from directors, stage managers (Union and non-union), and assistant stage managers (non-union).
