Ticket are $12 for each reading or $20 to attend both readings.

In 2011, presentations will be held at Icicle Creek Music Center’s Canyon Wren Hall, Leavenworth, on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Enjoy a unique, one of a kind event: the fifth Icicle Creek Theatre Festival presents An Uncorked Conversation: New Play Festival and Wine Tasting, at ACT. Enjoy wine from Leavenworth and Chelan wineries, followed by staged readings of two new play and a discussion with the playwrights. Icicle Creek Theatre Festival offers playwrights the space, time and support they need to develop new plays, as they work alongside professional actors and seasoned directors, and present their work to live audiences. All of ICTF’s plays have continued on to full performances in London, Off-Broadway and regional theatres across the country. ACT’s main stage production of Pilgrims Musa and Sheri in the New World came directly out of development at 2010’s Icicle Creek Theatre Festival. 2011 plays and playwrights to be announced soon. Each night, the wine tasting is from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., and the play reading starts at 7:00 p.m. Your ticket includes a commemorative wine glass! Wine event is 21 and over, ID required. Tickets also available for play readings only.

All play readings are appropriate for age 14 and up unless otherwise stipulated.

GETTING HERE

Icicle Creek Theatre Festival is held at the Icicle Creek Music Center & Sleeping Lady Mountain Retreat in Leavenworth, Washington, a 2½ hour drive from Seattle. And we have an airport in Wenatchee, just 45 minutes away.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Seattle via Interstate 90
Travel east on Interstate 90 to Cle Elum. Take the Wenatchee exit (milepost 85). Go east on State Rt. 970 for 11.9 miles to US 97. Go north on US 97 for 35 miles to US2. Turn left and travel northwest on Highway 2 through downtown Leavenworth to the west end of town. Turn left on Icicle Road (just before mile post 99) and travel approximately 2.4 miles, past the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery. Turn left into Sleeping Lady. If you are looking for the Icicle Creek office, continue up Icicle Canyon to 7409 Icicle Road.

From Seattle via Highway 2
Travel north on Interstate 405 from Seattle/Bellevue to Bothell where it meets Highway 522 east to Monroe. Head east on Highway 2 over Stevens Pass. As you enter the town of Leavenworth, turn right on Icicle Road, just past milepost 99. Travel approximately 2.4 miles, past the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery. Turn left into Sleeping Lady.

From Spokane via Interstate 90
Travel west on Interstate 90 to the Junction of Highway 281 near George. Travel north on Highway 281 to Quincy. Turn left on Highway 28 and travel west through Wenatchee to Leavenworth on Highway 2. Proceed through downtown Leavenworth to the west end of town. Turn left on Icicle Road (just before mile post 99) and travel approximately 2.4 miles, past the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery. Turn left into Sleeping Lady.
