ICICLE CREEK THEATER FESTIVAL announces an exciting one-week intensive workshop for students ages 12-19 to work with some of Seattle’s leading dramatic actors, writers and producers to teach, guide and instruct young actors  culminating in a showcase by week’s end.

Don’t miss this opportunity to send your child for an entire week in an area that is rapidly becoming one of North Central Washington’s premier music and arts destination for adults and students. In the quaint town of Leavenworth, a short 20 minute drive from Wenatchee, sits The Icicle Creek Music Center and the Icicle Creek Theater Festival, adjacent to scenic Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort.

The intensive program, held in conjunction with the 2011 Icicle Creek Theatre Festival, offers individualized attention with just 8 students per class, with a maximum capacity of 32 participants. Keeping class sizes small allows the instructors to personally work with the specific goals of each young actor. Students will be challenged at every level — whether they have received years of acting instruction, or if this is the students’ first theatrical experience. At week’s end, students will perform in the beautiful Canyon Wren Hall.

Starting at 8am until dinner ends at 9pm, each day will be jam-packed with specialized instruction in vocal work and stage projection, playwriting, movement, stage combat, improve, theater games and much more! PLUS there will be time in each actor’s day to partake in the Icicle Creeks’ campus of extracurricular activities such as horseback riding, tubing, and hiking.

Click here for a description of each day’s activities.

The fee for this unique and unforgettable experience is only $650.00 for day students, which includes three meals per day.. The fee for overnight students is $925.00, including housing and three meals per day.

Scholarships are available, and we encourage everyone interested in the program to apply. Payment plans can be arranged to help out too. Cancellations before May 1st, will receive a full refund less a $100 cancellation fee. Fees are non-refundable after June 1st. Please be aware that the camp is subject to minimum enrollment and that scholarships will be made available to families in need once minimum enrollment is met. Please call 1-877.576.6010 for more information.
